To ensure optimal recording during EEG, EMG, ECG or OEG, the quality of the electrode is very important. The silver cup electrodes (cup electrodes) are used for reliable and stable recording during EEG and PSG examinations.

The shape of the electrode ensures low impedance and easy positioning at various main/head sites. For optimal measurement, first treat the patient's skin with a skin cleansing cream such as Nuprep. Then stick the silver cup electrode to the patient's scalp using an adhesive gel/paste (e.g. Lic2 or EC2). The adhesive conductive paste can also be refilled through a small integrated opening in the cap.
